 Oops sorry your right!

 I was having problems with initng tying to load system/clock! or
 system/clock!! and changing this seemed to fix this problem, with a quick
 check i know why it works now (over allocating)

 my question now is
 does calloc(1, len) == calloc(len, 1)

 i would have thought yes but system/clock wasn't happy oddly anything
 before clock worked so  i may have masked my real problem, I'll keep
 looking
