 This is distro specific though is it not? For instance on gentoo vixie-
 cron is a common cron deamon used,the same applys to syslog too.
 genrunlevel should (i have not looked at it) check what your original init
 system had setup and configure initng to do the same, you may need a
 libgenrunlevel.pclinuxos file, see initng-ifiles/libgenrunlevel/ sources
